| 英文描述 | Bullous Pemphigoid is an autoimmune skin disease of horses in which the antibody is deposited on an antigen of the basement membrane of the epidermis. This leads to cleft and bullae formation beneath the basal cells of the epidermis, with subepidermal bullae on histology. Lesions can start dorsally or ventrally, then spread. Dx by histology and immunofluorescence of skin, but Dermatophilosis can cause false positive immunofluorescence and must be ruled out by culture. |
