| 英文描述 | A syndrome of failure to thrive associated with laminitis, sloughing of the hooves and loss of hair in the mane and tail has been associated with high selenium levels in the diet. Vesicles and exudation of the mucosa of the lips, nostrils, prepuce, and anus have been reported. Dx by history and examination of the diet and tissues. Chronic selenium toxicity is generally limited to areas with high soil selenium, but may be caused by excessive supplementation of the diet. |
