| 英文描述 | A syndrome of anhydrosis, or absence of sweating, is seen following exercise in horses in very hot climates. The lack of sweating is associated with severe dyspnea which is considered a major sign of this condition. Most common in horses imported into tropical climates. As many as 20% of racing horses in the southern U.S. are affected. Training horses and nonpregnant broodmares have a predilection for anhidrosis, while adolescent horses are infrequently affected. Alopecia of the face has been described in these horses. The cause of this syndrome is unknown. |
