| 英文描述 | Disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis is a nonmalignant, multicentric proliferation of smooth muscle tissue. A horse with weight loss and abdominal enlargement had a mass palpable per rectum in the abdominal cavity and observable on ultrasound. At surgery a large, multinodular, cystic mass was removed and the horse recovered. A diagnosis of disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis was made. Red urine seen with this condition might have been due to low-grade intravascular hemolysis of erythrocytes as they travelled through the mass. |
