| 英文描述 | Constriction of the palmar or plantar annular ligament can be due to tendonitis and swelling of the superficial digital flexor, chronic synovitis of the digital sheath, or desmitis of the annular ligament. May resemble a bowed tendon. There is usually a characteristic notch proximal to the ligament. Most common in middle aged horses, and is usually found in only one limb. Lameness is persistent, and exacerbated by exercise; there is usually pain on flexion of the fetlock. Thickening of the annular ligament with synovial distention, and adhesions of synovial masses, or both, in the digital tendon sheath has been termed complex digital sheath tenosynovitis. |
