| 英文描述 | Horses have developed a chronic skin condition characterized by a necrotizing vasculitis on histology of the deep dermis. Symptoms improved in some cases with steroid treatments. The cause is unknown, but there is often a concurrent disease process in affected horses. Edema and petechiae such as are seen in Purpura Hemorrhagica often did not develop. Dx by histology and ruling out other causes. A pattern of vasculitis affecting the nonpigmented areas of the lower extremities is known as pastern leukoclastic vasculitis. |
