| 英文描述 | Erythrocytosis is characterized by an increased red cell mass, with high RBC, PCV and hemoglobin counts. This is usually secondary to diseases causing low oxygen tensions, but may also be due to inappropriate production of erythropoietin. Horses have been described with erythrcytosis due to an unknown cause. Signs of proliferative marrow disease as seen in polycythemia vera were absent. Dx by exclusion of other causes. |
