| 英文描述 | Hemangiomas are rare in horses, but have been reported. Can present as masses on the conjunctiva with secondary signs due to ocular irritation or can involve other areas of the skin. Generalized internal hemangiosarcoma with icterus and blood in the abdominal and pleural cavities has also been seen. Intramuscular tumors in the limbs of horses have been described. Hamartomas, developmental malformations of vascular tissue the usually is present at birth and does not grow faster than surrounding tissue, have been described in horses (Colbourne et al.). Dx by histological exam of affected tussue. Most non-ocular cases are in young horses or are seen in newborns, indicating that some of these tumors are congenital. |
