| 英文描述 | Tumors of the tissue of the hoof wall have been described in the horse. These tumors can put pressure on on pedal bone and result in circular or elongated radiolucencies on radiography, evident as a distinct notch on the bone. They can also be detected by ultrasonography. They are usually located beneath the hoof wall or sole. Keratomas are most common, but squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, neurofibrosarcoma and hemangioma have also been reported The presenting sign is usually lameness or a draining tract at the white line. The affected area is usually sensitive to hoof testers, and paring the hoof reveals a fistula that leads to the tumor between the wall of the hoof and the third phalanx. |
