| 中文描述 | 一連串的馬匹發生輕微的或是輕微到中度的跛行，從前肢到後肢都有可能。一個堅硬引起疼痛的腫脹在近端種子骨的水平面上，距毛的彎曲可能會有加重的情形出現。此跛行是因為馬匹腳掌，腳底，環狀韌帶(連接近端種子骨的軸外面延伸橫過距毛的腳掌/腳底面)肌肉著骨點傷害。X光和超音波檢查種子骨肌肉接合處，皆可以發現有所改變。藉由阻斷相對應的種子軟骨神經，可以改善跛行的現象。 |

| 英文描述 | A series of horses developed lameness characterized by slight or slight-to-moderate fore- or hind-limb lameness; a firm painful swelling at the level of the proximal sesamoid bone; and exacerbation of the lameness by flexion of the fetlock. This lameness was caused by injury of the insertion of the palmar or plantar annular ligament, which attaches to the abaxial surfaces of the proximal sesamoid bones and extends transversely across the palmar/plantar aspect of the fetlock. There are radiographic and ultrasonographic changes at the affected sesamoid insertions. Lameness is relieved by blocking the corresponding sesamoidean nerve. |
