| 英文描述 | The equine tongue can be injured by lacerations, plant material or wooden or metallic foreign bodies. Excessive traction on the tongue is listed as a cause of damage to the twelfth cranial nerve in the horse. Pressure on the tongue by the Y-piece adaptor during anesthesia has also damaged the tongue. Dx by history; radiograpy can be of use for diagnosis of foreign bodies. |
