| 英文描述 | Chronic lead poisoning in the region of smelters is the more common form, with a peripheral neuropathy leading to respiratory signs. More severe signs can occur following massive exposure. Dx by history and tissue lead levels. Weakness, stiffness and failure to thrive has been reported in foals near lead sources, but this could be due to associated zinc toxicity. |
