| 英文描述 | Although many horses have titers, clinical signs other than abortion are rarely recognized. Outbreaks or sporadic cases of a sometimes-fatal disease of foals was attributed to leptospirosis. Leptospirosis is thought to be one of the causes of periodic ophthalmia of horses, which occurs some time following clinical disease. Dx by rise in titer during the acute illness and/or identificaton of LEPTOSPIRA in fetal tissues. Abortions occur in the sixth to tenth month. Renal dysfunction was associated with leptospirosis in horses. |
