| 英文描述 | In proliferative optic neuropathy a pedunculated white mass attached to the periphery of the optic disc protrudes into the vitreous humor. There is debate about the cell origin and components of this lesion, an incidental benign finding in horses over 15 years of age. The lesion enlarges over months or years, and in rare cases can become so large that vision and behavior (apprehension on the ipsilateral side) can be affected. |
