| 英文描述 | Horses, typically young Thoroughbreds in training, can develop an insidious onset of unilateral or bilateral metacarpophalangeal joint pain and lameness caused by metacarpophalangeal synovial pad proliferation (a.k.a. chronic proliferative synovitis or villonodular synovitis). There can be varying degrees of lameness, fetlock joint effusion, pain on fetlock flexion, and palpably enlarged synovial pads at the dorsum of the joint that might be accompanied by remodelling of the dorsal cortex of McIII. |
