| 英文描述 | With rupture of the urinary bladder, hyponatremia, hypochloremia and hyperkalemia are often present. BUN may be normal or slightly elevated. Elevated peritoneal creatinine:serum creatinine ratio is a useful diagnostic test. Diagnose by retrieval from the peritoneal cavity of brightly colored dye that had been injected into the bladder, contrast radiography, endoscopy, ultrasonography, or by surgery. Most common in male neonatal foals; the average colt foal micturates at about 6 hours of age. Also rarely occurs in adults with urethral obstruction, following injury, or in mares following parturition. An intraabdominal rupture of the urachus in a foal can cause signs that resemble those seen in bladder rupture, and the diagnosis is made at surgery. Tears of the ureter have been described in foals. Subcutaneous rupture of the urachus in foals causes fluid buildup in the umbilical region. |
