| 英文描述 | Atheroma is an epidermal inclusion cyst in the nasal diverticulum, (false nostril), of the horse, usually in the caudodorsal aspect. They are round, soft, nonpainful fluctuant masses 2-5 cm in diameter that yield a gray, odorless fluid on aspiration. May be unilateral or bilateral. Dx by location and clinical character. Usually only a cosmetic problem, but surgical removal can be used when the lesion causes clinical problems. |
