| 英文描述 | Hydrocephalus is the accumulation of excessive fluid in the ventricular system of the brain. The skull might be enlarged and deformed or normal. Dandy-Walker syndrome, hydrocephalus, partial or complete absence of the cerebellar vermis, and a retrocerebellar cyst representing expansion of the roof of the 4th ventricle have been reported in dogs, cats, calves, sheep, and foals. Hydrocephalus can occur in any species, and can be congenital or acquired. Can cause dystocia in the dam. In hydranencephaly the cerebral hemispheres are reduced to a membranous sac. |
