| 英文描述 | Osteosarcoma is the most common bone tumor in the dog and is highly malignant, with early metastasis to lungs and other organs. Most common in middle aged and older large breed dogs; less frequent in cats. Found most frequently in the proximal humerus, distal radius and ulna, proximal and distal ends of the femur and tibia and the costochondral junctions, but can occur in other sites such as the head. Extraskeletal osteosarcoma of soft tissues also occurs in rare cases. Pathologic fractures can accompany neoplasia of the bones. |
