| 英文描述 | Collapsing trachea is a common canine disorder. Dorsoventral collapse is more common than lateral in dogs. A congenital form might be due to malformation of the tracheal rings at the thoracic inlet. Cause of the acquired form is unknown. Middle- and old-aged toy or miniature breeds are predisposed. Usually the cervical and thoracic trachea are both involved. Secondary tracheitis is common. A cough can generally be elicited by tracheal pressure. Rare in cats. |
