| 英文描述 | In periodontal disease there can be inflammation of the gingiva, periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone. Inflammation of periodontal tissues is common in dogs and cats, and if untreated can lead to loss of teeth. Dx by oral examination, with plaque, calculus, mobility, pocket depth, and furcation positively associated with radiographic evidence of disease. Older cats with chronic renal failure can develop oral lesions and anorexia, and this should be ruled out. |
