| 英文描述 | Melaleuca oil is obtained by distilation of the leaves of the MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA 'tea tree'. It has been marketed as an 'herbal' skin care product for animals. There have been reports of toxicity in dogs and cats when the oil was applied topically at high doses (Villar et al.). Signs can develop quickly after massive exposure, but typically begin 2-8 hours after exposure. Symptomatic treatment has often been followed by recovery without sequelae within 2-3 days, but death can occur (Bischoff and Guale). |
