| 英文描述 | Inflammation of the subcutaneous fat in cats is known as pansteatitis or yellow fat disease. It is characterized by general soreness that may lead the cat to bite or scratch when handled. In the advanced stage lumps can form in the subcutis or internally, and untreated pansteatitis can be fatal. Mainly seen in young to middle aged animals which are on diets consisting of fish or sometimes liver, as well as some nonconventional diets, causing a vitamin E deficiency. Head and neck usually spared. |
