| 英文描述 | Psittacine proventricular dilatation syndrome, with distention and impaction of the proventriculus and ventriulus with ingesta, is most common in macaws, but occurs in other psittacines as well. The disease is usually fatal. On radiography there is dilatation of the cranial part of the GI tract and increased barium sulfate-passage time. There is invlovement of central and peripheral nervous tissue. A viral cause is suspected. |
