| 英文描述 | Budgerigar fledgling disease is a generalized infection of young budgerigars, caused by a polyomavirus. Young birds of other psittacine species and passerine species have died with gross and histological lesions suggestive of BFD. Nestlings 1-3 weeks of age are most severely affected. Lesions of ascites, subcutaneous hemorrhages, hepatomegaly with hemorrhage and necrosis, and hydropericardium are often present; feather abnormalities are common in survivors over 3 weeks of age. French moult is characterized by a loss of feathers in young birds at about the time they leave the nest; this is an important clinical problem. French moult may be a milder, more protracted form of fledgling disease. This virus has also caused disease in non-psittacine birds. |
